Card Making Challenges

Card Making Challenges are a fun way to get your creative juices flowing. 

They can provide a starting point for your card making with their suggestions for card sketches, colours or images.

You can even combine challenges to make a delightfully different card!

There are so many challenges that you can play every day of the week. 

No two are alike!

So, how do they vary?

Some challenges provide a different card sketch every week/month as the inspiration for your card.

Others may provide a colour, image or theme.

Occasionally, a challenge is for a particular stamp supplier's products (eg: Stampin Up!).

While others are happy with you using products from a mix of suppliers (eg: Simon Says Stamp).

If you take part you will be encouraged to upload a photo of your card to their website. 

Winners are usually allowed to display a Challenge Badge on your blog - if you have one.

There may be a prize such as store gift voucher but as with all these things it's the taking part that matters.

Taking part in challenges is an opportunity to try new or revisit some old techniques to add original ideas to your cards.

Or to use a different card making medium from your usual choice.  Such as coloured pencils instead of alcohol markers. 

Remember, it's a chance to challenge yourself too!

It's also useful to keep a copy of the card making sketches from the challenges.

I keep mine in a A5 folder with other sketches for when I'm looking for layouts ideas.
