Flower craft punches are a quick and easy way to create your flower images.
They can be used to make single flowers or joined together to create a 3D flower.
(See Daisy Cards).
Both of the cards below were made with the Flower Garden stamp set and matching punch from Stampin Up!
Although this set is now retired it is often available on ebay.
Create this simple card with one of the flower stamps in two contrasting colours.
Stamp extra flowers and use the punch to cut out the flowers.
Add a sentiment strip and punched flowers with foam pads for dimension.
Complete the card by mounting on a coloured card base or card layer.
This card uses the same stamp set and punch in different colours.
To create the illusion of flowers on a trellis die cut a layer of white card with the My Favourite Things Bold Stripes Cover Up die.
Glue onto of a layer of flowery designer paper and mount onto a card base.
Add the stamped and punched flowers backed with foam pads onto the "trellis".
Complete with a sentiment strip.
Layering stamps offer a fantastic opportunity to create realistic looking flowers with shading and depth.
Stamps are "layered" with different shades of the same ink colour.
The flower stamp sets from Altenew are easy to use as with each set has a detailed guide to layering the stamps.
This card uses the beautiful Altenew Handpicked Bouquet stamp set with the Cherry Blossom and Green Meadows mini cube sets.
The cube sets take all the hard work out of selecting your colour combinations. Each set contains 4 different inks graduated from light to dark in one colour family.
These layering stamps are a pleasure to use.

For this card blend a background with distress oxide inks (Twisted Citroen, Cracked Pistachio, Tumbled glass and Salty Ocean).
Stencil your image with the Wildflower stencil from Tim Holtz with embossing paste onto the blended background.
(I mixed shimmery white embossing paste with black ink to create a sparkly silhouette effect.)
Trim your stencilled card and add fun foam to the back. Mount onto a black card base.
Heat emboss a sentiment with white embossing powder at the bottom of the card base.
